Bad Mommy Moment #5768593: I let Noah keep his pacifier for sleep until 2 weeks ago. Yes, TWO WEEKS AGO! *dies of embarassment*

Here's my "logic" (ie., how I justified it to myself): In the past year he had so many new things happen---he got a new baby brother, he moved into his own bed/bedroom, he entered preschool, he learned how to use the potty---I knew (or at least I thought I knew) the hardest obstacle to overcome was going to be the "nukkie."

Mike and I knew it was time to get rid of it...so we decided our vacation would be a good time to "forget" his pacifier at home. Lo and behold, it worked! He's been without it almost 2 weeks now. He has, however replaced the nukkie with his "towel," which is a burp cloth he's had since he was an infant. That's fine...a burp cloth is a waaaaaaaay more acceptable lovey for a 3 year old than a nukkie. :P
