"High on Arrival" by Mackenzie Phillips was shocking, disturbing, fascinating, maddening and real. I bought this book after reading bits and pieces of it in US Weekly and People magazines. I was shocked at the allegations Phillips made against her father and needed to read the entire book for myself. I got the book and couldn't put it down. I read it from a mother's point of view and just could not understand HOW or WHY a child could end up this way...and later got pissed off at Phillips for the things she does to her own child. I think every parent should read this book.
